Well done George!!

During our letters and sounds session today, the children were thinking of words with the 'ng' sound in them. I was so impressed when George came up with 'Neil Armstrong'......well done!!

News Round Up

We are really thrilled that many of you have been sharing the blog at home with your children and celebrating their wonderful achievements. Please do spread the word to your friends and families!

We've had a brilliant week in Reception - again. The children are really enthusiastic about our Space work and are responding really well to opportunities to be 'the teacher' and share their knowledge with their friends. This week we will be sharing the Oliver Jeffers story 'The way back home' and will be finding out more about the planets and the solar system.

Monday 14th February will be a non uniform day as detailed in the main school newsletter. It is a lovely opportunity for all our children (and staff!) to dress up as their favourite book character and bring in a book to share with their friends. Please can you ensure all books are named so we can return them safely? Thank you.

But we haven't spent all week in space!

We've managed to create some fabulous Nebular pictures,

build a rocket,
and practice our ball skills in
our mini soccer PE sessions today!

Our Sensational Space display...............

....is a work in progress. The children have painted Nebula pictures for the background and we are adding to it each day. Thank you to Mrs Friar and Mrs Chin for spending their own time pulling it all together.
Please check back soon to see what else we have been doing!

Beebots in space!!

Many thanks to Mrs Chin for creating our Astronaut Beebots!!
