We've had another fabulous week in Reception including a surprise party for Guy!
Guy has left our school today and starts his new school after the half term break. Guy, we will all miss you - you have been a superstar! We hope you have a lovely time in your new school and that you will come back to visit us soon!
Homework this week was to create a super framed portrait of the Queen (or any other member of the Royal family)
BOXES!!! The children have been very busy in our DT area this week and as a result our supply of boxes, pots, cardboard tubes etc is running out. Please can you send us your junk - but no egg boxes or toilet roll tubes. Thank you.
Hope you have all had a brilliant weekend....It's a pity that the weather has been a bit unreliable, but let's hope for some more sunshine this week! Click here for a link to this week's newsletter: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/document-preview.aspx?doc_id=79657663
Well done to Finlay and Lauren who were our superstars of the week! Well done too to all the children who can now write their full names with beautiful letters using the correct sequence of movements. We are looking forward to seeing all your Shrek artwork tomorrow and hope to get some of it on display in our classroom. Mr Wilson has asked for our super Space work to use in the mall where it will be on display with other Space themed work from around school.
Welcome back to everybody! We've all found the week a busy one.....we must be getting used to these extended weekends which Mr Wilson kindly let us have! Back to business as usual next week and we have lots of exciting things planned - learning all about Shrek. We have noticed that some children are struggling to write their full name correctly (on a line and using the correct letter formation) please can you support us and your child by ensuring they keep practising this? Thank you. We really enjoyed our PE session outdoors this week, ask your child to tell you what we were learning and what we did (if they haven't already!) We have a few missing cardigans and jumpers and the ones we have found are either unnamed or the name has washed off. As your child's uniform comes out of the laundry basket please would you check and if required could you rewrite their names in please?
